“DOCK” Vilnius continues the interior style of the first restaurant opened in Klaipeda. The main idea of the interior is not to use any cliché maritime-themed attributes. The interior has been created with the help of details typical of a ship repair facility – a dock, and a modern port. These are the blue facade of the bar, which imitates a sea container; custom-made chandeliers with scissor-like holders; metal & glass structures separating the kitchen and the guest hall, table legs and shelf constructions; industrial concrete floor; glazed tiles and plaster walls; aged wooden table and bar tops imitating old painted and faded surfaces, inscriptions similar to the names of vessels. The playfulness for the space is provided by the combination of different chairs, the differences between the shades of them and the colour of brown leather sofas, as well as the greenery of houseplants. Several new solutions have been developed for the “DOCK” Vilnius. These are arrows pointing in the direction of movement around the bar, drawn on the floor, and rhythmically repeating stripes in the hall, which are also scraped on the walls. The design of internal and external signs has also been created for this object.
